Linda Rutenberg
Majored in art at Western Washington University and graduated
with honors at Pierce College in the digital design program. Graphic design is a perfect combination of my IT background at Boeing and
my interest in art.
Inspiration for design comes from the world around me and images that clients give me for their projects. Colors found in a photo or image help shape the design and tell the whole story of a client’s business, organization or personal interest. To understand a client’s story means to listen carefully, find the clues, and the tale they wish
to tell. Sometimes it means helping them figure out what they want their public persona to be and how to manifest that idea into an electronic or print medium.
I will start with quick sketches, throwing out ideas on paper and approaching the design from different angles. From there layouts are born with two to four options provided for the client. The winning layout becomes the winning design for the final project.
